Share Your Ideas / Desync Mode Wishlist
« on: November 29, 2017, 11:18:46 AM »
For the desync mode I would like to see a section of the app where I can go and select a player created deck to play against.
I envision something like https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks But simpler and dynamic.
Win/loss ratios will be kept for each deck listed. If a card is changed in a deck, the win/loss resets.
I would open to see a list of currently available decks. I could sort by deck name, player name, win/loss ratio, player rating.
I would then select a deck to play against and either a deck list would pop up so I can see what I am up against, or the game would just start and I would have to learn through trial and error.
Bonus features:
Changelog with win/loss for each change. Maybe in the form of a graph vs time.
Replay mode so you can watch other people play against your deck.
Replay mode so you can watch replays of people playing against other decks.

I think that is the important part,  there should be disagreement on which magic is most powerful. It means we are balanced.  Don't want to end up like hearthstone where everyone is playing the same friggin cards.

Speaking of which,  do we know if there will be a graveyard?  Should I ask that elsewhere?

Or make 2 cards,  1 mana cost gets you a random chaos spell, 2 mana gets you a spell from your deck or graveyard.

That might be fun,  so casting a random chaos card from your deck for cheap.  That could make for some interesting game mechanics. You could limit your chaos spells to maximize your chances, or you could broaden your chaos spells to make your deck robust at the cost of accidentally casting an AOE at the wrong moment :)

What differentiates Chaos Magic from other kinds of magic?  Are there spells that can only exist within the Chaos Realm?  Perhaps a card could be created that draws a random chaos spell from your deck and puts it in your hand?

Greetings!
I started playing games...well I remember when the NES came out and begged for one for Christmas.  Once we got one I joined a generation who would head to the game store on a Friday and rent 1-2 games then spend the weekend loosing feeling in my legs trying to beat everything.
I love games where I can build a character, Built to Win was my first experience at being able to improve a character. However, PC gaming was always my favorite, in the 90s I bought a game called Baulders Gate on CD ROM! so cool...games on CD....I bought it because of the box and the screenshots on the back were out of this world.  I fell in love with the series immediately.
Since then I have gravitated towards strategy games that are open world and let me explore the possibilities.
Hero Mages I discovered on accident just like Baulders Gate,  it was the app of the day on Amazon and I started playing...then I got my friends to play...then we got addicted to the anticipation of what would happen next and getting that notification that it was "Your turn"...or a notice that the game had ended and wondering how the heck your buddy pulled off a win.  Needless to say I loved async play.  HM was the only mobile app game I have stuck with over the years.
I am very excited for Summoners fate and look forward to seeing the game grow.
