We at D20Studios are committed to consistent, daily communication on the progress of Summoners Fate. We've been following this trend since August 2016 across our many communication channels and we intend to continue with regular updates each day leading up to the WW Launch in 2018. If you're considering backing our Kickstarter and want re-assurance of our commitment to finishing this game or are a fan interested in keeping tabs on our progress, rest-assured that you will find a new post from us each day sharing our progress.
Did you know that less than 5% of our Facebook communications actually reach our audience? We can't explain it, but we believe it is due to how Facebook algorithms curate content as well as the relative "social noise" that causes content you care about seeing to get buried in the feeds.
For the best possible experience and to make sure you never miss an update, we recommend subscribing to our "Daily Updates" thread here on our forums. This will ensure you have an opportunity to see each update. To subscribe to Daily Updates, click this link or browse to the Daily Updates topic select the "Notify" button (it looks like a bell) and you'll get emailed whenever a new post is submitted. If your idea extends beyond characters (ex: a series of game mechanics or an entire race of characters tied to a complete game expansion idea), please start a new thread instead so the details and coherency stick together.

Game Discussion / Ironclads, Orcs, Skeletons, Dreadnoughts or Reptilians?

Here are 5 of many different playable factions/races in Summoners Fate. Which would you choose to play and why? Vote for your favorite and share your thoughts in a post.
Ironclad
Employing their powerful armor, matching ornate shields, and expertly-crafted weapons, the Ironclads venture onto the battlefield with purpose in their hearts - to honor their promise to fight in the name of the Emperor (coming soon)...no matter the cost...
Orcs
Big. Mean. Green. Awesome! These brutes storm the battlefield with giant weapons and leave none safe!
Skeletons
These piles of bones have some unfinished business on the Summoners Fate battlegrounds, and lack any fear of the enemy or dying (of course!). While typically on the weaker side insofar as strength, they have much safety in terrifying numbers...
Dreadnoughts
They have chosen to fight for destruction and havoc. Sealed inside their enormous heavy armor, they have devoted themselves completely to being a men-at-arms for mayhem.
Reptilians
The Reptis - what we call our Reptilian race - are a race of humanoid reptilian creatures native to the lush jungles that populate the lands of Summoners Fate. Their ranks consist of tall, ignanae/croc/dino lizard like hominids, smaller frilled lizard bipeds, and half humanoid, half serpentine creatures.

My name is Ross, and it's a pleasure to meet you! I'm founded D20Studios and created Summoners Fate so that I could share my passion for tactics, strategy, CCG's, boardgames and fantasy RPGs with you! I will in love with video games growing up and watching my older brothers games like Tower of Doom and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons on the Intellivision. Some of my favorite games include the Dark Sun Series D&D PC Games Shattered Lands and Wake of the Ravager, Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo Series, Elder Scrolls Series, Battlefield (especially 2142 and Bad Company 2), Warhammer tabletop (Fantasy & 40K), and Magic the Gathering.
My first published game, Hero Mages, began in 2006 as a physical tabletop board game that I converted to digital at the encouragement of my friend, Torsten, and released as an online browser-based game in 2009. Two years later, I re-launched Hero Mages as a cross-platform multiplayer app for Android and iOS. Hero Mages was a success because of its awesome community. After, I went to work for EA as an engineer manager and producer so I could learn how to better build its successor... Summoners Fate! With this game, my aim is to run a continuous service of "community driven development" where the future of the game is shaped by your ideas and feedback and delivered by me via regular content updates. So, stay awhile, and I will listen. Hears to years of quality entertainment together!
